Believing that we are never too old to start a new adventure, Mary Gorton founded a2z Organizing after retiring from a 40 year business career. The skills she acquired through those years makes her uniquely qualified to assist clients in organizing the parts of their lives that can cause everything from mild stress to absolute overwhelm.
Mary’s careers included residential real estate sales, office management and senior housing consultation. Her years as an office manager for a non-profit organization prepared Mary to organize space, data and time and to work with customers from many walks of life. In real estate she dealt with people making life changes, usually in a short amount of time, advising seniors to make decisions when transitioning from their cherished homes to retirement communities. This position required sensitivity as well as practical skills, and her compassion and natural ability to get the job done were valued and appreciated by both the seniors she assisted and their adult children. Mary is an active member of -- and has received most of her professional training from -- NAPO (National Professional Organizers Organization).
